After a busy winter, the course is looking better than ever — and we can’t wait for you to get out and play it.
Our Grounds Team, volunteers and the Giggleswick School Maintenance Team have put in some serious graft over the colder months. In the rough, overgrown trees have been tidied, trimmed and reshaped to open up the course. On the fairways, the drives have been remodelled for a cleaner, more satisfying game. And beyond that, we’ve gone a step further — working to restore the course closer to its original layout, digging out long-lost features and bringing back challenges that had disappeared over the years.
One of the more dramatic additions? The old waterways have been dredged and cleared, giving you some exciting new places to lose a ball.
Behind the scenes, we also tracked down the source of the winter flooding to a blocked and collapsed drain just below the tee on the second green. The team spent days working in mud and freezing temperatures to clean and repair it — and the area is now drying out beautifully.
The finishing touches are in place: recut holes and crisp new flags, kindly supplied by John Roberts Paper Mill. The course should feel noticeably different this season, and we’re genuinely excited to see how the changes bed in over summer — and to hear what you make of them.
We’ve got more improvements planned as the year goes on, so if you have ideas or feedback, we’d love to hear from you. Get in touch and tell us what you think.
