The weather was definitely what you would call grim on Sunday, but you proved how hardy you all are! We had a great turnout for the season’s opener, The Captains’ Drive-In.
Our three Captains, David as Club Captain, John for the Toff’s and Margaret for the ladies, all drove off well to create a total distance of 460 yards.
We had plenty of members who braved the conditions and went on to play a reduced 5-hole round, before heading back to the Club House for a spot of pie and peas.
It was all worth the effort as you raised a cracking £650 on the day to be split between the club and this year’s charity, Friends of Airedale.
